Bonnie got together with bluegrass band The Pickett Line and recorded this album live in the studio. It's bluegrass versions of his solo songs and a Merle cover too. My favorite thing he's done besides Greatest Palace Music.

Bobby Charles - Self Titled

A Louisiana native, Bobby wrote songs for the likes of Fats Domino ("Walkin To New Orleans"), Bill Haley ("See You Later Alligator"), and Clarence Frogman Henry ("I Don't Know Why But I Do"). He was later asked to join The Band for their legendary Last Waltz farewell concert where he performed "Down South In New Orleans". Bobby just recently passed away in his hometown of Abbeville, LA. Here is his self titled album with all the members of The Band (minus Robby) and Dr. John as back up. Hats off to a Louisiana legend.

Roky was the founding member of the 60's psychedelic band 13th Floor Elevators. He is a diagnosed paranoid scizophrenic who received forced electro shock treatment in a Texas hospital for the criminally insane. He released this album after being let out prison. Just simple psycho demon rock.

A 16th track, "Girl on LSD" was originally going to be on the album but Warner Bros. insisted it be taken off due to the blatant drug references. I tracked it down and put it on this one. The world needs more albums like this.
